Why is cleaning so important?

Bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants are not visible to the naked eye. An improperly cleaned work surface or cleaning tool can easily transfer contaminants from one place to another.

That is why it is not enough for a surface to simply look clean – it must also be in a hygienically suitable condition.

In addition to regular cleaning, it is necessary to:

• keep cleaning tools clean,
• establish a prescribed cleaning schedule,
• and keep proper documentation.
